"Every time Katy cries, I cry. I am a contagious crier for sure,” Carter shared with Us. The night featured the contestants performing a medley of songs in honor of Perry. “Honestly, I feel so honored to be part of Katy’s last season. Winning the show still hasn’t sunk in for me. It’s just incredible to win Katy’s final season. What can you even say to that?”

They encouraged me to break out of my comfort zone and strive for greatness,” she reminisced. “Seeing their emotional reactions last night was truly heartwarming.”

Perry documented her final episode on social media by sharing a video of herself throwing pizza into the audience during the show. She expressed her sentiment by writing, “A pizza my heart will always be on the #idol stage.”

Editor's P/S:

Abi Carter's suggestion of Lady Gaga as a replacement for Katy Perry on American Idol is an intriguing one. Gaga's experience as a performer and her unique style would undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to the judging panel. Furthermore, her passion for music and her ability to connect with contestants could make her a valuable asset to the show.

Carter's admiration for Meghan Trainor is also noteworthy. Trainor's experience as a mentor this season has demonstrated her ability to provide constructive criticism and support to contestants. Her warm and encouraging demeanor would make her a natural fit as a full-time judge. However, it remains to be seen whether Trainor would be interested in such a commitment, given her busy schedule and other projects.
