FKA Twigs transformed Valentino's catwalk during Paris Fashion Week into a spectacular piece of art. On Sunday, October 1, the 35-year-old musician captivated the audience with her mesmerizing performance titled "Unearth Her." Making a dramatic entrance at the École des Beaux-Arts, FKA Twigs ran gracefully barefoot in a nude bandeau bra and matching miniskirt, showcasing her natural curls flowing down her back.
Upon reaching the stage, amidst dancers donning coordinated attire, the British vocalist engaged in an unconventional act by rolling inside a wooden box filled with soil. As she sifted through the mulch, FKA Twigs (known by her real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett) retrieved a buried microphone. Following this, the artist placed a pair of headphones on her head before commencing to sing in French.
Meanwhile, models strode by her throughout the performance, showcasing the esteemed brand's latest collection, Valentino L'École for the spring/summer season of 2024. The overall presentation astounded the A-List attendees in attendance.
Florence Pugh took to Instagram on Sunday, describing @fkatwigs as "otherworldly" and praising her incredible performance at the @maisonvalentino show. Pugh, who donned a lilac suit for the occasion, was in awe of the truly magnificent display.
After the show, FKA Twigs, who had also incorporated sand into her performance, joined Valentino designer Pierpaolo Piccioli on stage. Hand-in-hand, they walked behind the models during the final bows, sharing a heartwarming hug at the end. Twigs even added a pair of beige ballet flats to complete her look.

FKA Twigs delighted fans with a recent performance that followed her collaboration with the Rambert Dance Company at Vogue World: London. Together, they showcased a captivating rendition of Opus III's "It's a Fine Day." Expressing her joy and gratitude, FKA Twigs took to Instagram on September 16, praising the company for the incredible experience and calling it a dream come true. She described it as the best week ever.
FKA Twigs is renowned for both her unique fashion sense and her musical talent. Boy George, speaking to GQ in June 2022, commended her "funky punky" style and noted that while many people can dress up, certain artists, like FKA Twigs, possess an authenticity that sets them apart. He also mentioned the emergence of incredible Black women who effortlessly rock authentic punk looks, but highlighted how FKA Twigs brings her own distinct alternative twist to the genre.
