First Glimpse of Quan Chi in Mortal Kombat 1 Revealed This Weekend
Quan Chi, the sorcerer of Mortal Kombat 1, makes a thrilling comeback this December, reclaiming his place in the playable roster Get ready to witness his dark magic in action once again!
Mortal Kombat 1 players have only scratched the surface of Quan Chi's abilities in the campaign mode. However, the evil sorcerer, confirmed for the Kombat Pass, is set to be fully revealed this weekend, according to MK series creator Ed Boon. Boon shared a brief clip on Twitter showing Quan Chi facing off against Shang Tsung, marking the first time he has been seen outside of the campaign. In the clip, Shang Tsung mentions his desire for the alliance with Quan Chi to be more deadly, to which Quan Chi simply laughs.
Boon's caption for the video suggests that the trailer will be unveiled at the upcoming CCXP convention in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The convention's official website indicates that Boon is scheduled to make an appearance on December 3.
Returning to the playable roster is Quan Chi, who last appeared in 2015's Mortal Kombat X, where he met his demise at the hands of Scorpion in the game's story mode. He is the second character to be included in the Kombat Pass for Mortal Kombat 1, following the release of Omni-Man from Invincible earlier this month.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Kombat Pass is also available now, both as a separate purchase and in any of MK1's premium editions.
