Fire Country fans can rejoice as W. Tré Davis is set to make a return to the show to play Freddy in an upcoming episode.
CBS has unveiled sneak peek photos for the season 2 finale of Fire Country, giving fans a glimpse of Davis reprising his role as the beloved character. The episode, scheduled to air on Friday, May 17, will mainly revolve around Gabriela's (Stephanie Arcila) wedding to Diego (Rafael de la Fuente). In the trailer, it is hinted that Freddy is back to support Bode (Max Thieriot) as he faces an unexpected end to his prison sentence.
Freddy, who finished his sentence in the first season, gives Bode some advice on how to win over Gabriela before she gets married. Fans were surprised by Freddy's appearance in season 3 since he was not in season 2.
The CBS show follows Bode as he tries to reduce his prison sentence by joining the California Conservation Camp Program. Bode is sent back to his hometown where he tries to make amends with his family and old friends.

Freddy was Bode’s best friend at Three Rock. But when Bode got blamed for a drug deal he didn’t do, Freddy got another chance. He went back to his fiancée, Cookie, and their new baby. After that, Freddy didn’t show up in the show anymore when Bode came back to Three Rock.
The executive producer and showrunner, Tia Napolitano, talked about the big changes for characters that happened offscreen at the start of season 2.
"I was really confident that our premiere would captivate the audience. Last year, we had 22 episodes which gave the audience ample time to get to know our world and characters," she shared exclusively with We in April. "Our goal was to engage them, especially after being off the air for so long."
Napolitano expressed her belief in how viewers would respond to the changes, stating, "We saw it as a fantastic way to reinvigorate and kickstart the story. I had a strong feeling that our audience would be genuinely thrilled about it."
