As the year comes to a close, celebrities are embracing the holiday season by remembering their beloved festive customs. Personalities such as Chrissy Metz and Brooke Burke spare no expense in celebrating Christmas Eve with coordinated pajamas for their family and friends.
"We have a tradition in my family where we each get to open one present on Christmas Eve, and it's always pajamas," Metz shared with We exclusively before the holidays. "It can be challenging to find matching pajamas for 15 people, but I really enjoy it."
Burke takes it to the next level for her family, choosing special onesies. "We all wear onesies. And when I say all of us, I mean [my fiancé] Scott, myself, and all of the kids," Burke told Us. "No matter how old you are, we all wear a variety of onesies."
In September 2021, Us confirmed that Burke and her boyfriend Scott Rigsby got engaged after two years of dating. Burke is the mother of daughters Heaven and Shaya with her ex-husband David Charvet, and daughters Neriah and Sierra with ex-husband Garth Fisher.
“Our family is expanding and Scott and I are currently building a house in Arizona, which will be completed this holiday season. We are navigating the challenge of blending our individual holiday traditions as we start our new family and marriage,” Burke shared. “I personally love Christmas. Despite being Jewish, I embrace all holidays. We celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas.”

Similar to Burke, Meredith Marks, who stars in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, also honors both Christmas and Hanukkah. "We are Jewish, but we still have a Christmas tree and celebrate Christmas too," she informed Us. "Not from a religious perspective, just from a holiday perspective. And it's all about family time."
For many households, the highlight of the holiday season is the baking. According to Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL superstars Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, cooking isn't her forte, but she truly shines when it comes to creating delectable sweets.

Donna playfully shared, "I enjoy baking cinnamon rolls - they're my absolute favorite and my go-to treat. I only make them a few times a year because they're so sugary. I'm not the best cook, but I truly enjoy baking."
Katharine McPhee is excited to introduce her 2-year-old son, Rennie, to the idea of giving back through baking, putting a modern twist on a timeless tradition. (McPhee and David Foster welcomed their first child in February 2021.)
“I really want to establish traditions like baking cookies and donating them to special places,” McPhee shared with Us. “He's still too young, but in the future, I definitely want to make it a tradition to take him volunteering with me for a few hours during the holidays. I believe these actions are just as meaningful as decorating the house.”
Some families prefer savory dishes, such as Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, who participate in the Feast of the Seven Fishes every year. This tradition, originating from Southern Italy, involves the preparation and consumption of seven different seafood dishes on Christmas Eve.

"Big Daddy Sitch has got Christmas Eve covered this year, so you know it's going to be an awesome time," Sorrentino hinted as he shared his holiday plans.
