Tim Allen first donned the suit of Father Christmas almost 30 years ago in The Santa Clause, and he couldn't be happier that the series has become a family affair on Disney+.
In The Santa Clause, the 70-year-old Home Improvement star reprised his role as Scott Calvin, also known as Santa Clause, now a loving family man with his wife Carol (played by Elizabeth Mitchell), and their children Cal (Austin Kane) and Sandra, portrayed by his real-life daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick. (Eric Lloyd, who played Calvin's son Charlie in the series' first three films, appeared in season 1 but did not come back for season 2.)
During an interview with We, Allen confessed that working with his 14-year-old daughter, whom he shares with his wife Jane Hajduk, has been an unforgettable experience. "It's one of those moments that I'll carry with me forever," he shared. "To see the professional that she's become, treating everyone well, showing up on time, doing her job, working long hours, with no complaints."
"Sometimes, I look over there and think, my kid is in this movie with me," Allen continued, expressing his gratitude.
Not only Allen-Dick participated in the fun; Allen's wife also joined them on the set. "It was a new experience for both of them, and they really put in a lot of effort," the actor comments. "It's very impressive to see."
In Season 2, Scott trains his son to be his successor as Santa Claus, just as a mischievous Mad Santa (Eric Stonestreet) and his partner, Kris Kringle Moreno (Gabriel Iglesias), arrive to shake things up.

Season 2 was made "fun and exciting" by adding a villain and new characters like the Easter Bunny, according to Allen. He describes it as the "perfect holiday treat."
The new chapter delves deeper into the dynamics of each member of the Calvin family, which was an enjoyable process for Allen-Dick. He particularly liked developing Sandra's storyline, as she struggles with growing older and discovering her powers that she cannot control. She grapples with the decision of whether to tell her parents about her abilities.
Allen is pleased with how the story of Scott Calvin remains just as magical as ever. "The writers have turned this show into a fantastic way to entertain," the Last Man Standing star remarks. "I really appreciated how they did it."
