Niles' absence in the Frasier reboot shouldn't come as a surprise. Pierce has consistently voiced his opposition to reviving the beloved comedy even before it entered active development. Despite Grammer's reach-out to offer him the chance to reprise the character, Pierce declined the offer to avoid repeating his award-winning performance from the original show. Given the significant connection between his character and Niles, it follows logically that Leeves' Daphne won't be part of the series either.
The absence of Niles and Daphne in the reboot may initially be hard to imagine, considering how beloved they were in the original show.
