Young Sheldon fans are divided as the popular CBS comedy and The Big Bang Theory prequel series is set to conclude with Season 7, marking the end of an era.
The seventh and final chapter of the sitcom will debut on February 15, 2024, and culminate with a one-hour series finale on May 16. For those eager to revisit the show's most humorous moments, there's exciting news - it has found a new streaming platform. However, this hasn't been universally positive for everyone.
Fans react to Young Sheldon hitting Netflix
The first five seasons of Young Sheldon are set to hit Netflix US from November 24, according to Deadline.
The news comes shortly after the streaming service began airing promos in America, teasing the imminent release of the show. Despite the chance to binge-watch the beloved classics before Young Sheldon's last season, the response to the announcement has been varied.
One user on X/Twitter commented, "Behaving as if nothing has occurred." A different individual expressed, "This is the content they publish on the platform subsequent to increasing prices." Yet another person stated, "I suppose it's finally time to terminate."
In addition to criticizing Netflix, there are also individuals who have directed their criticism towards the show itself. One such person stated, "Another spinoff that nobody requested. I've watched a few episodes and found it to be uninteresting."
However, not everyone shares this viewpoint, as many individuals have expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to rewatch Seasons 1-5.
One commenter expressed, "I'll definitely be rewatching this." Another noted that with the series coming to an end, it is an opportune time to start binge-watching. A third commenter shared their excitement, stating, "I'm so hyped, everyone will be watching."

As a Gen Z netizen, I have mixed feelings about Young Sheldon finding a new streaming platform. On the one hand, I'm excited to be able to binge-watch the first five seasons of the show on Netflix.
On the other hand, I'm disappointed that the show is ending after only seven seasons. I've been a fan of the show since it premiered in 2017, and I've enjoyed watching Sheldon Cooper grow up and learn about the world.
I'm sad to see the show end, but I'm also excited to see what the future holds for the character. I think it's great that Netflix is picking up the show, as it will give more people the opportunity to watch it.
However, I'm not sure if Netflix is the right platform for the show.
Young Sheldon is a family-friendly comedy, and Netflix is known for its more adult-oriented content.
I'm worried that the show might not fit in on Netflix, and that it might not get the attention it deserves. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic about Young Sheldon's move to Netflix.
I'm excited to be able to watch the show again, but I'm also worried that it might not be the right fit for the platform. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the show's performance on Netflix, and I'll be interested to see how it does.
