McFarlane Toys is adding to their Batman: Knightfall-inspired figure series with the much-anticipated Nightwing in his '90s costume. The DC Multiverse line already boasts numerous Batman figures, but Nightwing is certainly giving The Dark Knight some serious competition.

Nightwing is represented by a wide variety of figures in the line, featuring his appearances from DC Rebirth, Titans, New 52, Gotham Knights, and more. However, the most highly anticipated addition to the collection is the stunning '90s figure that was announced today.

McFarlane Toys reveals classic Nightwing from Batman: Knightfall

McFarlane Toys has revealed that Nightwing in his ‘90s costume will be the newest addition to the Batman: Knightfall series in the DC Multiverse line, just in time for the holiday season.

The figure joins an already impressive line that has included ‘90s takes on Robin, Catwoman, and one of the most popular Batman figures released to date.

Dick Grayson, the original Robin who later became Nightwing, is known for his iconic costume that he wore throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. This costume is closely associated with his role in Batman: Knightfall, during which he sported the look while Azrael took over as Batman. He later adopted his famous “finger stripes” costume for his solo series in 1996.

Naturally, fans are losing their minds over the release. Many took to the comments on Instagram and Twitter.

Oh I am gonna want this

Conway Kal El (@zignagspeaks) tweeted on December 4, 2023. However, some fans are not entirely satisfied with the appearance. Several are noting that the figurine seems to be lacking Nightwing's ponytail, which was the second-most iconic mullet of the '90s in DC.

Others are calling out the lack of detail, with the “feather” design across the chest being painted on instead of sculpted.

No pony tail or mullet? No sale.

GIVE US DISCOWING

There are calls for the adaptation of Nightwing's original '80s "Discowing" look with a high collar, which has yet to be included in the line. However, with McFarlane Toys' recent release of classic figures, it is likely just a matter of time before it is added.

Pre-orders for the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Batman: Knightfall Nightwing will open on December 8th, the same day as the pre-orders for the new classic Superman figure. Stay updated on all DC Comics and McFarlane Toys news by keeping it locked to Dexerto.

Editor's P/S

As a Nightwing fan, I am thrilled about the release of the new 90s Nightwing figure from McFarlane Toys' Batman: Knightfall line. This figure perfectly captures the iconic look of Nightwing from that era, with his blue and black costume, mullet, and escrima sticks.

The figure is incredibly detailed, with McFarlane Toys doing an excellent job of recreating Nightwing's costume and accessories. The paint job is clean and crisp, and the articulation is excellent, allowing for a wide range of posing options.

Overall, I am very impressed with the new 90s Nightwing figure from McFarlane Toys. It is a must-have for any fan of Nightwing or the Batman: Knightfall storyline. I eagerly await the release of this figure so I can add it to my collection.
