Ezra Miller transforms into the menacing Reverse-Flash in stunning DC fan art, teasing the multiverse exploration in the highly anticipated upcoming Flash movie

In new DC fan art, Ezra Miller, who portrays Barry Allen, has been transformed into the villainous Reverse-Flash, adding a chilling twist to the upcoming The Flash movie. Despite being in development limbo since 2014, the highly-anticipated film is finally set to hit theaters in less than a month, with Miller reprising his role in the DCEU. Drawing inspiration from Flashpoint, the film will follow Barry as he navigates multiple universes in an attempt to alter history and prevent his mother's brutal murder. While the trailers have teased fans with glimpses of what's to come, there are still unanswered questions about the film, including whether or not Reverse-Flash will make an appearance. To offer a potential glimpse of Miller's portrayal as the infamous speedster villain, digital artist Clements Ink has created a stunning rendition of the character.

Eobard Thawne, known as the Flash's arch-nemesis and often compared to the Joker's relationship with Batman, has made numerous appearances in live-action adaptations, particularly in The Flash TV series. While Tom Cavanagh played the character for most of his time in the Arrowverse, using Harrison Wells as a disguise, original actor Matt Letscher also portrayed Eobard. However, the character has yet to be properly introduced in the DCEU.

Is Reverse-Flash Even In The Flash Movie?

While the Flashpoint storyline is being adapted in The Flash, it remains unclear if Reverse-Flash will have any involvement in the DCEU's version of the story. As of now, the primary villain in this alternative world is General Zod and his Kryptonian army. However, it has been revealed through The Flash's merchandise and marketing that a Dark Flash, inspired by DC's Black Flash, will make an appearance in the film.

During principal photography of The Flash movie, director Andy Muschietti shared a sketch that featured a figure in a yellow speedster suit resembling Reverse-Flash. It is unclear whether Muschietti's sketch was a mere doodle or a teaser for the villain's appearance in the film. While it is unlikely that Reverse-Flash will play a major role in The Flash's overarching narrative, the film may acknowledge his existence in Barry's world, potentially setting up the possibility of a sequel. As of now, it remains to be seen whether Reverse-Flash will make an appearance in The Flash.
