Exposing Chelsea's Alleged Financial Breaches Under Roman Abramovich: Premier League Launches Investigation

Premier League probes Chelsea for potential financial violations during Roman Abramovich's tenure as owner

The Premier League is currently conducting an investigation into potential violations of financial regulations by Chelsea Football Club during the period of Roman Abramovich's ownership.

Following their acquisition last year, Chelsea's new owners took the initiative to report their club to UEFA and the Premier League.

Chelsea currently does not face any charges from the Premier League. However, potential sanctions, such as fines or points deductions, may be imposed if they are found guilty of rule violations.

Recently, on July 28, UEFA disclosed that they have imposed a fine of €10m (£8.6m) on Chelsea. This penalty was a result of the club's failure to provide complete financial information from 2012 to 2019.

When approached by We News, Chelsea chose not to comment.
