Just as they reach the top of the tower using Megumi's Nue, Ino and Yuji ambush them. Awasaka manages to grab two of the three Constraints in a hurry, but Yuji cleverly employs a special wire to swiftly bring him down by having Megumi deactivate Nue. In the meantime, Ino stays behind on the roof to confront Granny Ogami.

Ino unleashes his formidable Cursed technique, known as the "Auspicious Beast Summon". This supernatural ability channels through Ino and beckons four fearsome beasts into existence. In a flashback scene, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 11 unveils that both Granny Ogami and Jiro Awasaka were Curse Users in 1989 when Curses suddenly grew stronger and appeared more frequently. They took advantage of this increase until they heard about the 100 million yen bounty on a child from the Gojo clan.

This child possessed both Limitless and the Six Eyes abilities, and the bounty was not just a contract but a permanent reward given to the first person to claim it. Intrigued, Awasaka and Ogami separately went to investigate the young boy, whose Six Eyes and mere presence posed a threat to their very souls.

In Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 11, there is an image via MAPPA that depicts Satoru Gojo as an infant. This image captures the significant moment of his birth on December 7, 1989. It marked a turning point in the Balance of the world, as stronger curses began emerging more frequently in order to meet the new standard set by the Jujutsu World. However, Satoru's mere existence became a burden for this world, as the Six Eyes ability he possessed kept everyone held back. Awasaka reminisced about this situation.

The Curse users had enjoyed years of freedom until a child imposed limitations on their existence. Understandably, this resulted in a deep-seated resentment, which was manifested in their joy when Gojo was sealed away. It is likely this resentment that led them to collaborate with Pseudo-Geto.

In the present, Awasaka tumbles down 14 floors but still remains determined to fight against Yuji and Megumi. Despite their fierce assaults, none of their attacks seem to have any effect on the old man. Adding to their struggle, Megumi realizes that they are not in sync, finding it challenging to keep up with Yuji's extraordinary speed and agility while wielding a Cursed Tool.

Awasaka successfully wounds Yuji with a blade, prompting Megumi to retaliate using Toad. In an attempt to understand Awasaka's abilities, Megumi informs him that Satoru Gojo is on his way, only to be met with the man mocking him and recognizing it as an obvious lie. Understanding that Awasaka only took action after Gojo's sealing, Megumi concludes that his Cursed Technique cannot simply be complete damage nullification due to its immense magnitude.

As Awasaka charges towards them, Megumi employs a defensive maneuver called Rabbit Escape. Surprisingly, this seemingly gentle attack proves to be more effective against Awasaka than all their combined offensive strikes. Megumi astutely concludes that Awasaka's Cursed technique, Inverse, renders heavy attacks powerless while light attacks possess the potential to inflict severe damage upon him.

Final thoughts

However, he also comes to the realization that there needs to be a threshold for the intensity of an attack to be considered applicable to this Technique. With that in mind, he and Yuji decide to conduct an experiment by utilizing Max Elephant, Toad, and a series of physical assaults at different magnitudes. Through this trial, they are able to establish an approximate boundary for Awasaka's Technique. Subsequently, they proceed to incapacitate him entirely.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 11 is important mainly because of three reasons:

First and foremost, the episode emphasizes the significant role of Satoru Gojo in the Jujutsu World. He is not only crucial for maintaining its stability, but his absence poses a threat to its very existence. Satoru serves as both the equilibrium and the central force in his world, and the removal of his presence will inevitably result in the collapse of its foundation.

Additionally, the reincarnation of Toji Zen'in introduces the possibility of him encountering not just Megumi, but all other members of the Zen'in clan in Shibuya. It is intriguing to note that within the Jujutsu World, Toji is not referred to as "Toji Fushiguro," but is instead identified by the name of a clan that rejected him, a name he eventually abandoned.

The image via MAPPA in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 11 highlights the clan politics of this world and underscores the significance of removing the Gojo clan from the equation. Additionally, some fans speculate that Toji Zen'in represents the prime version of Toji and possesses distinct characteristics compared to the wearied and practical individual depicted in Gojo's Past.

Thirdly, and perhaps of lesser significance to the narrative, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 11 flawlessly highlights the Yuji-Megumi dynamic and their distinctive approaches. Yuji, with his simplicity and quick-thinking abilities, excels at improvisation. On the other hand, Megumi, a brilliant individual, possesses keen observation skills and is constantly analyzing; however, he faces certain challenges when it comes to adapting to his environment and circumstances.

In the later part of the series, it becomes clear just how much they have influenced each other, as they both learn to improve their weak points by observing one another. Their collaboration against Awasaka is a crucial moment in their relationship and proves beneficial when facing other adversaries.

An important detail that fans often miss is that the entire battle at Shibuya Central took place within a span of 4 minutes. The next episode will reveal the timestamp to verify this fact. From this point onwards, the Shibuya arc only grows increasingly intricate with fast-paced action and a timeline that frequently shifts.
