During the controversial season 10 girls' trip to Las Vegas, Kristina Kelly claimed that it was the Vanderpump Rules production team who deliberately provoked an argument. The 35-year-old former SUR waitress revealed her perspective on the drama in an episode of Stassi Schroeder's "Straight Up With Stassi" podcast, which aired on Wednesday, June 21.

Kristina alleged that Raquel Leviss was shown footage of Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, and herself talking negatively about her. This revelation led to a confrontation with one of the producers, leaving the cast feeling upset. It was later discovered that the producer responsible for the incident was new to the team. Contrary to Kristina's claims, a source close to production denies any involvement of the crew in showing Raquel the footage.

During a March episode of Vanderpump Rules, Lala, Katie, and Kristina found themselves in a disagreement with Raquel after she had a romantic encounter with Oliver Saunders, the son of Garcelle Beauvais, whom they had met while dining at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant in Las Vegas. However, Raquel argued that she had received Lala's approval to explore her feelings for the waiter.

Lala expressed her skepticism, stating, "You asked me, and I told you to go for it. [But] you drinking? I would never trust you around my man." In response, Raquel sarcastically noted that it was fortunate that Lala didn't "have a man" to be concerned about.

Kristina raised doubts about the genuineness of the aftermath that followed the argument after reviewing the scene. She expressed her belief that the producers were attempting to portray them as bullies and give Raquel a storyline. "They were trying to manipulate the situation by making sure she knew what was said that night in Las Vegas," she commented. Additionally, the Heartspring founder accused the show's producers of selectively editing moments to create a distorted narrative.

Raquel's emotional moment in bed was captured by the cameras. The editing portrayed it as if she had overheard us discussing her and subsequently retreated to her bed, where she was seen crying under the soft glow of her galaxy lights," Kristina clarified. "Contrary to the perception created, she was actually shedding tears over the passing of Ariana Madix's dog. We had just received the news, and Raquel sought solace in her bed. I'm almost certain she reached out to Ariana via FaceTime. It's unfortunate how it came across as if we were responsible for her distress, like a group of mean girls."

According to the production source, Raquel's tears were not related to Ariana's dog but rather stemmed from the hurtful comments made by her fellow cast members.

During the show, as the viewers were engrossed in the unfolding drama, news spread in March about the breakup between Tom Sandoval and Ariana, aged 37, caused by his involvement with Raquel. Several weeks later, the cast reconvened for the reunion taping to address the scandal and its aftermath.

In a confessional recorded a few days after the reunion, Raquel provided clarification on the alleged timeline of her affair with the 40-year-old Sandoval. This dramatic revelation occurred in the closing moments of the June 7 reunion episodes, following their attempts to defend themselves throughout part 3.

"I believe it is crucial for me to be honest. I have realized that I have been living a life of lies and deceit for a long time, and I no longer wish to continue down that path. Besides, most of the worst things are already out in the open, yet I still find myself compelled to lie about certain aspects of the timeline," she expressed in an emotionally charged confession. "Sandoval believes that it would cause less pain to claim that this situation did not go on for as long as it did. However, the truth is that the second instance occurred during our time in Mexico, specifically at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies' wedding in August 2022."

After this shocking revelation, a source provided an update on how Raquel is coping with the public backlash.

Raquel has been undergoing treatment at a voluntary inpatient behavioral health and trauma facility following the filming of the reunion. She has been there for a total of 68 days and her treatment is focused on understanding the reasons behind her decisions and growing from her mistakes. Raquel is genuinely remorseful for her actions and has repeatedly apologized. She is eager to share her story with complete honesty once she completes her treatment.

Although the cameras have stopped rolling, the Pump Rules cast continues to discuss the scandal behind the scenes. Lala, in particular, has previously shared her thoughts on why she believed Raquel was destined to be the fan favorite in season 10.

During a May episode of her podcast, the Give Them Lala author expressed her belief that Raquel would have emerged as the season's winner and claimed the top spot. She highlighted Raquel's tearful confessions about her breakup with James Kennedy and speculated whether her heavy sobbing was a result of feeling guilty. Lala also noted that the emotional affair had already begun even before they had engaged in sexual activity. Despite frequently criticizing Raquel, Lala admitted that she saw a broken individual and did not perceive her as heartless and soulless, leaving room for the possibility of Raquel's redemption.
