Manchester United winger Antony has arrived back in the UK from Brazil and is set to meet with Greater Manchester Police for questioning regarding allegations of abuse made against him, according to the PA news agency. The 23-year-old, who transferred to Manchester United from Ajax last summer for a fee of £86m, has been on leave from the Premier League club since September 10th.
United has confirmed to We News that the Brazil international is still on leave of absence as he deals with the allegations made against him. Antony is currently being accused of physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, who provided her account to the Brazilian outlet UOL earlier this month.
The winger has denied those allegations, as well as further assault claims made by Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana.

In a statement on September 10, Antony expressed his continued innocence regarding the accusations made against him. He assured his full cooperation with the police in order to uncover the truth. Since the beginning of September, the winger has been in Brazil where he initially joined the national team. However, he was later removed from the squad due to the emergence of these allegations.
Antony arrived back in England on Tuesday after assisting with police investigations in Brazil. He is scheduled to meet with the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and is expected to provide them with his phone for inspection.
In June, the player willingly participated in an interview with the Brazilian police, but he has not been arrested or faced any charges.
