Walking into Something About Her, the new sandwich shop by Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney, feels like entering a scene from a Nancy Meyers movie. This was exactly the vibe the Vanderpump Rules stars were going for.

“I'm a big fan of rom-coms and Nancy Meyers because they are just so carefree and whimsical,” expressed Maloney, 37, in an exclusive interview with We. During our sneak peek at the shop on Tuesday, May 21, she added, “John [Hutman], who designed the space, is also Nancy Meyers’ production designer. He really brought our vision to life.”

The West Hollywood shop may be small, but Us was impressed by its beautiful aesthetic. Decorated with watercolor portraits of reality stars, cozy pillows, and green accents, it gives off a vibe reminiscent of a French café.

Madix, 38, shared with Us an inspiring idea from Katie. She said, "We want to romanticize lunch." Madix thought this phrase was absolutely perfect.

The shop's menu continues the romantic theme. The owner, Maloney, explained, "The name of the space is Something About Her, so we wanted to highlight the women." They decided to name the sandwiches after iconic leading ladies.

But do the sandwiches taste good? Many reality stars venture into the restaurant business, but not all succeed. Us decided to put the Something About Her sandwiches to the test. Keep reading to discover which sandwiches are worth trying and which ones you might want to pass on.

This sandwich is like a breath of fresh air, possibly influenced by Meg Ryan's iconic rom-com roles in movies like When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, and Sleepless in Seattle. It's a unique blend of flavors such as tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, and sundried tomatoes, making it stand out from your usual sandwich options. It's a lighter choice that will transport you to a sunny Greek vacation.

We absolutely adored this Mediterranean masterpiece, and we're confident it will have customers saying, "I'll have what she's having!"

We found something special about this sandwich. We really enjoyed the rustic ciabatta bread and the kick of pepperoncini that added a nice touch to this straightforward yet elegant sandwich. However, we felt that for the price of $19, there should have been more meat included.

The Drew is a delicious sandwich option that features turkey, avocado, bacon, and cheddar cheese, all topped with a tangy honey mustard dressing. This flavorful combination is sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Maloney and Madix were deliberate with their creation of The Drew, a baguette filled with mango-jalapeño jam and goat cheese. These flavors were so memorable that not even Drew Barrymore's character in 50 First Dates could forget them.

This sandwich provided a unique experience, with the addition of crisp apple and cucumber layers for a refreshing crunch. The balsamic glaze, arugula, and mint added to the flavor journey in every bite. The Drew is our top recommendation and a must-try!
