Discover the secrets of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit in Season 2 of Reacher as we delve into their enigmatic past under the leadership of Jack Reacher

In Reacher Season 2, the individuals connected to Jack Reacher's military background are at risk, as the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit members are killed off. Who exactly are these people?

Upon his initial introduction, Jack Reacher (played by Alan Ritchson) exudes a formidable presence, evident in his imposing height and build. Armed with nothing but a war medal and his passport, Reacher's combat prowess and proficiency with firearms reveal his military background as a former major in the US Army's military police, based on Lee Child's book character.

He currently travels aimlessly across the United States. After focusing on solving his brother's murder in Season 1, Reacher Season 2 delves into another aspect of his past. Upon receiving information from his longtime friend and teammate Francis Neagley, Reacher learns that the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit is facing trouble. Determined to seek vengeance, Reacher becomes determined to uncover who they are and why he is so fixated on seeking retribution.

Reacher Season 2: The 110th MP Special Investigations Unit explained

Season 2 of Reacher delves into Reacher's role as the Commanding Officer of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit, a handpicked team of military investigators tasked with solving the army's most challenging cases.

Following his intervention in a carjacking incident in Arkansas, the first episode of Reacher takes us back several years to Rock Creek, Virginia. Upon entering an old building, he encounters one of his recruits, Calvin Franz, who had been personally chosen by Reacher after diffusing a fight between soldiers over a cookie.

The other recruits are puzzled as to why Reacher would bring in soldiers with no police experience. He explains that their cases are unique and require specialized investigators rather than the standard Military Police. Season 2 of Reacher reveals that the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit consists of nine investigators within the Military Police Corps.

In addition to Reacher, the team included Sgt. Francis Neagley, Major Calvin Franz, Captain David O’Donnell, Major Tony Swan, Major Karla Dixon, Captain Stan Lowrey, Major Jorge Sanchez, and Major Manuel Orozco. Embracing the motto, “You do not mess with the Special Investigators,” the team developed a strong bond. Their unity is tested when they encounter a challenging drug-related case.
