Rose Hanbury is not the only one in her family with ties to the British royal family. She is the daughter of Timothy and Emma Hanbury and has an older sister named Marina. Rose became The Marchioness of Cholmondeley when she married David Cholmondeley in 2009.
Rose has three children with the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, who is 23 years older than her: twin sons Alexander and Oliver, and daughter Iris.
Before gaining attention for rumored involvement with Prince William, Rose worked as a model and researcher for U.K. politician Michael Gove. In 2019, speculation arose that Prince William was unfaithful to his wife, Princess Kate, with Rose. Royal expert Omid Scobie mentioned in his 2023 book, Endgame, that Kensington Palace went to great lengths to suppress the rumors.
Rose Hanbury denied the affair claims in March 2024, with her lawyers telling Business Insider that the rumors were completely false.
