The next seven-star Tera Raid battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature the formidable Hisuian Decidueye with the Grass Tera type.
Trainers have two chances to engage in battles and capture Hisuian Decidueye, scheduled for October 5-8 and October 13-16.
Hisuian Decidueye, known for its powerful physical attacks featuring the move Triple Arrows, presents a formidable challenge. However, teams consisting of powerful Fire Pokemon can effectively capitalize on its vulnerabilities.
A month later, after players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet faced off against Mewtwo the Unrivaled, The Pokemon Company has announced the next seven-star Tera Raid battle. Starting in October, trainers will be pitted against a powerful opponent - a Hisuian Decidueye with the Grass Tera type. This formidable creature will appear in seven-star Tera Raid dens in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and players will have two chances to battle and capture it.
This announcement comes shortly after the release of The Teal Mask, the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Alongside their Pokemon journey in the Kitakami region, trainers also had the opportunity to participate in five-star Tera raid battles against Slither Wing and Iron Moth. Despite neither of these Paradox Pokemon presenting significant challenges to experienced trainers, the upcoming battle against a starter Pokemon from Hisui may prove to be a difficult encounter.
The highly anticipated Tera Raid battle against the formidable Hisuian Decidueye the Unrivaled is scheduled to commence on Thursday, October 5th, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. This intense encounter will run until Sunday, October 8th, at 7:59 p.m. Eastern. For those who are unable to participate during this period, fear not, as there will be another opportunity from October 13th to October 16th.
It's worth noting that Hisuian Decidueye has been previously available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet after the Pokemon Home version 3.0 update. However, this event marks the first occasion where trainers who do not have access to Pokemon Home or Pokemon Legends: Arceus will have the chance to capture this immensely powerful Pokemon. Those who manage to emerge victorious from this challenge shall be rewarded with the prestigious Mightiest Mark.
Decidueye, known as the Arrow Quill Pokemon, initially debuted as a dual-type Grass and Ghost Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon. However, its unique Hisuian form possesses the Grass and Fighting types in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It is noteworthy to mention that a seven-star Tera raid against the Alolan variant of Decidueye took place in March 2023.
As the final evolution of the Grass starter Pokemon Rowlet, Hisuian Decidueye is a formidable physical attacker known for its signature move, Triple Arrows. This powerful Fighting-type move possesses a high critical hit rate and has the ability to either lower the target's defense or induce them to flinch. When combined with its hidden ability Scrappy, along with other moves such as Leaf Blade, Swords Dance, Shadow Claw, and Smack Down, Hisuian Decidueye emerges as a potent physical threat that trainers in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games must contend with.
Nevertheless, teams consisting of robust Fire-type Pokemon such as Iron Moth, Ceruledge, and Skeledirge can effectively exploit Decidueye's vulnerabilities. Only time will reveal the true extent of the challenge that Hisuian Decidueye poses for players in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
