Exclusive: Unveiling Jaw-Dropping New Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet teasing fans with intricate hints, building anticipation for a highly-anticipated new Pokemon announcement set to occur in late August

Highlights

The upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is teasing the introduction of a new tea-themed pocket monster, with its reveal rumored to be happening on August 22.

Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have officially announced that the upcoming DLC for Scarlet and Violet will introduce fresh additions to the Pokemon roster. While a few new Pokemon have already been unveiled, there is still at least one surprise yet to be unveiled. Amongst them, there are tea-themed Pokemon that might either form the final stage of Sinistea's evolutionary line or act as an alternative initial form of the Ghost-type Pokemon. In total, it is speculated that the DLC will introduce a grand total of seven distinct species.

Hints have been dropped indicating that the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will present a new pocket monster with a tea-inspired theme. The initial portion of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion is set to launch on September 13, and speculation suggests that the mysterious creature will be unveiled on August 22.

Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have already announced that the two-part DLC will introduce new Pokemon to the Scarlet and Violet games. Although a few creatures, like Fezandipiti and Dipplin, have already been showcased in recent times, there seems to be at least one other Pokemon yet to be revealed.

During the 2023 Pokemon World Championships, press members received a tea set with the date August 22, sparking speculation among fans that a new tea-themed pocket monster will be revealed. The official Pokemon site has since incorporated green tea powder into its background, appearing on its Facebook and Twitter banners as well. Given these developments, it is likely that the Teal Mask DLC will introduce a new tea-themed Pokemon to Scarlet and Violet. This new creature may either add a new evolution chain to the series or be related to Sinistea and Polteageist from Pokemon Sword and Shield, serving as either a completion to Sinistea's evolution or an alternate first evolution for the Ghost-type Pokemon.

Scarlet and Violet recently unveiled four new DLC Pokemon, including Dipplin, an alternative evolution of the apple-like Pokemon, Applin. This is not the first time that new evolutions have been introduced in Sword and Shield, as demonstrated by Sinistea. Another Generation 8 creature, Duraludon, will also receive a new evolution in Scarlet and Violet, known as Archaludon. However, Archaludon will not make its debut in The Teal Mask, but in The Indigo Disk, the second part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which does not yet have a confirmed release date.

In addition to the already revealed species, there may be more new creatures introduced in The Teal Mask. A leak suggests that the expansion will feature a total of seven such species, but The Pokemon Company has only confirmed five of them so far: Dipplin, Fezandipiti, Munkidori, Ogerpon, and Okidogi.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
