According to Metaphor, the new map will draw inspiration from the original Verdansk map, focusing on urban design and building-to-building combat. They also mentioned that aspects of previous multiplayer maps, like Countdown and Overwatch, may be incorporated into the new map. If Metaphor's leak is accurate, this would mark the second consecutive map to embrace the original urban-style combat of Warzone's launch. The most recent map, Vondel, introduced in Season 4 of Modern Warfare 2, was heavily influenced by the architecture and grid-like waterways of Amsterdam. Metaphor speculates that the new map's size may be significant, leading to the possibility of matches supporting up to 150 players at launch.
Content The next Call of Duty game, which is set to be released on August 2, 2023, will provide players with more information about what to expect in Season 5.
