Exclusive: Thomas Brodie-Sangster's Surprising Engagement with Talulah Riley, Elon Musk's Former Spouse, Breaks the Internet!

Talulah Riley expressed her delight as Thomas Brodie-Sangster proposed, announcing the news on Twitter. "Thrilled to announce that Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged after two years of dating!" Riley, 37, shared on Thursday, July 27.

Riley, formerly married to Elon Musk before his purchase of Twitter in October 2022, chose not to immediately announce the news on other social media platforms.

On the other hand, Brodie-Sangster shared the news on Instagram, quoting one of his most notable films, Love Actually from 2003.

"Excited to share the news that Talulah and I are now engaged," wrote the 33-year-old actor, alongside a photo of the newly-engaged couple on a gondola. "Love is abundant," he added, alluding to the movie's central theme and the memorable lyrics from Billy Mack's (played by Bill Nighy) song, "Christmas Is All Around."

Prior to this, Riley had a tumultuous relationship with Musk, 52. The couple initially married in 2010 but eventually divorced two years later.

After a brief separation, the former partners rekindled their love and got married again in 2013. However, their relationship eventually came to an end in 2016, marking their final separation. Riley expressed her belief that it was the right decision and despite the sadness that comes with any divorce, both parties were genuinely happy. She acknowledged that marriage is a societal construct, but she still held onto her belief in it. Riley emphasized that she and Elon remained best friends, maintaining their close bond and caring for each other. She expressed her desire for their friendship to continue indefinitely.

Despite their willingness to consider a third reconciliation, both Riley and the founder of SpaceX decided to move forward. Musk subsequently had an on-again, off-again relationship with Grimes, spanning from 2018 to 2022. The couple now have a three-year-old son named X Æ A-12, as well as a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, who is 19 months old.

Meanwhile, Riley's romantic connection with Brodie-Sangster first became public in November 2021 when they were seen in London, holding hands in a photograph.

The couple, who grew close during the production of their FX series Pistol, publicly appeared as a couple for the first time at the British Academy Film Awards Gala Dinner in March 2022.

Three months later, Brodie-Sangster showed his support for his partner at the book release party for her novel, The Quickening. In July 2022, the couple was seen enjoying a date at Wimbledon, followed by attending an event at Ascot Racecourse.
