Exclusive: The Surprising New Star Set to Join Solar Opposites Revealed!

A replacement has been found for one of Justin Roiland's voice acting roles on his show Solar Opposites, following his departure from several positions after facing serious allegations earlier this year.

Premiering in May 2020, Hulu's Solar Opposites follows the adventures of a family of aliens who crash land on Earth while escaping the destruction of their home planet. They then proceed to adapt and enjoy their new home to varying degrees. Originally created for Fox Broadcasting, the show was later acquired by Hulu and made its premiere on the platform. Initially facing the challenge of distinguishing itself from being just a Rick and Morty copycat, Solar Opposites managed to overcome this hurdle and received positive feedback from both fans and critics.

More recently, the show faced a setback when its creator and prominent voice talent Roiland was ousted from Solar Opposites and Koala Man by Hulu following serious allegations in a felony domestic abuse case. Consequently, Roiland was removed from all ongoing projects, necessitating replacements for the numerous voice roles he portrayed in his shows. According to The Hollywood Reporter and the Solar Opposites season 4 trailer, one of these roles has now been filled by Dan Stevens, known for his work in Legion, who will embody Korvo, the more reluctant visitor from another planet in the Solar Opposites cast.

Roiland, despite the allegations against him, does not seem inclined to reprise any of his previous acclaimed roles. This decision is partly due to the fact that the aftermath of the accusations brought to light Roiland's long history of problematic behavior, which had not been addressed until now. After the case against him was dismissed, Roiland expressed his relief, stating, "I have always known that these claims were false - and I never had any doubt that this day would come." However, he also expressed his disappointment in the detrimental impact of the false accusations on his reputation and the rush to judgment by many individuals who believed the word of an embittered ex-partner without considering the facts or allowing the proper legal process to unfold.

Fans of the show Solar Opposites, which is currently streaming on Hulu, were left with mixed feelings after the recent dismissal of a case against one of the voice actors, Roiland. While the charges were dropped, many were quick to point out that Roiland's denial of the dismissed charges did not address other concerning behavior that had been brought to light. This has led to speculation about the future of the show and how the voice talent will be handled, including Roiland's involvement in his other popular show, Rick and Morty.
