The upcoming volume 39 of My Hero Academia is rumored to be among the franchise's last installments. As a result, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) @cpasDryNa has created a stunning artwork envisioning their interpretation of the next volume's cover. This captivating cover art draws inspiration from the franchise's initial manga volume cover.
In the initial volume of the manga, Deku was prominently featured with All Might positioned behind him, accompanied by other heroes. The fan's illustration took this concept and inverted it. In the fan-drawn cover art, Toshinori Yagi (All Might) takes center stage, with Deku appearing behind him. They are then followed by their fellow U.A. schoolmates, teachers, and other heroes.
Initially, All Might possessed the One For All quirk, while Midoriya had no powers. However, the situation has now been reversed, with Deku possessing the One For All quirk and All Might losing his abilities.

Despite this, a number of fans expressed their thoughts on the artwork, noting subtle alterations. Primarily, considering the current stage in the series' storyline, it seemed illogical for the artwork to possess such vibrant hues. Consequently, one fan proposed the inclusion of darker undertones.
In the artwork, some fans felt that Deku's smile was too joyful considering his fight with Tomura Shigaraki. They believed that a crazier expression would have been more fitting. Additionally, certain fan groups expressed disappointment that characters like Jiro and Kirishima were not included in the My Hero Academia volume 39 cover art, despite other characters like Endeavor, Shoto, Monoma, and Eraser Head being featured. However, they understood that the artist had to make tough decisions when creating the cover art.
