Certain players express their disappointment over the decision to exclude Jing Yuan from the upcoming banner re-run, surmising that it could be attributed to popularity and revenue considerations. As a result, players find themselves torn between choosing to summon Silver Wolf or Argenti in Version 1.5.
Honkai: Star Rail leak recently hinted at a Silver Wolf re-run, making her the second banner character from Honkai: Star Rail to have a re-run after Seele in Version 1.4.
Initially introduced in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2, Silver Wolf is one of the renowned Stellaron Hunters known for her obsession with video games. She possesses Quantum-element abilities, following the Path of Nihility, enabling her to debuff and weaken enemies. Currently, Silver Wolf stands as the second-highest revenue generator in the banner, second only to Seele. Additionally, apart from her role as a playable character, Silver Wolf's presence in Honkai: Star Rail's main story and side quests has further boosted her popularity among players.
Following the announcement of a Seele re-run in Honkai: Star Rail, well-known leaker Dim, as shared by StarRailVerse2, has revealed that Version 1.5 will feature a Silver Wolf re-run. As mentioned in StarRailVerse2's post, the banner character, along with the five-star character Argenti, is expected to make an appearance in the second phase of Version 1.5. Although there is no confirmed release date for Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.5, players can anticipate its arrival around November.
Many fans of Honkai: Star Rail were surprised and disappointed when Jing Yuan was not the next banner re-run. They had been preparing to pull for the character and his Light Cone. Some speculated that HoYoverse skipped Jing Yuan because he was allegedly unpopular. While it is true that the character came after Seele, it is possible that Honkai: Star Rail based the re-run on characters' popularity and banner revenue. As mentioned, Silver Wolf is currently the second highest in terms of banner revenue according to the chart by HonkaiLab.
Meanwhile, there were also players who were torn between pulling for Silver Wolf or Argenti. Based on the re-run format in Version 1.4, Seele will have a separate banner from Topaz, so it is likely that this will also be the case for Silver Wolf. The players' concerns are understandable, especially since farming Stellar Jades and Star Rail passes can be a tedious task unless they spend actual money on gacha pulls.
Prior to the official release of the Silver Wolf re-run in Honkai: Star Rail, players will need to participate in the new events featured in Version 1.4 and try to acquire Jingliu, Topaz, and Guinaifen from the banner. Despite being a comparatively shorter update, fans are eagerly looking forward to delving into the game's lore and other exciting elements. Honkai: Star Rail can currently be enjoyed on PC and mobile devices, and a PS5 version will be launching on October 11th.
