Exclusive: Sledgehammer Games Drops Bombshell, Officially Confirming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Leak!

Sledgehammer Games appears to validate the leaked information surrounding their speculated revival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 via social media confirmation

Highlights

Sledgehammer Games appears to have verified the leaked design of the logo for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 by modifying its Twitter header to feature a comparable design.

The leak originated from brochures found on Monster Energy drink cans, indicating that players will have the opportunity to unlock in-game rewards by scanning QR codes found on these cans.

The leaked pamphlets have raised fan confidence in the imminent announcement of Modern Warfare 3, with a federal judge hinting at a November release date.

Sledgehammer Games has further validated the recent leak by showcasing the logo of its highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 remake. The logo was leaked online on July 24, originating from pamphlets distributed by Monster Energy.

Activision has historically announced new Call of Duty games in the spring. However, they broke away from this strategy when they revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in August 2020, just three months before its release. Similarly, there has been no official announcement yet for the much-leaked remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as of July.

In an interesting development, Sledgehammer Games, the studio believed to be developing the remake, has indirectly confirmed the recent leak of the Modern Warfare 3 logo. They updated the header image of their official Twitter profile, which now features their logo with a red "E" that resembles the Roman numeral three turned on its side. This emphasized letter is identical to the number in the previously leaked Modern Warfare 3 logo. The Monster Energy pamphlets, which already seemed authentic due to the brand's history of collaborations with Call of Duty, are further supported by this developer teaser.

The leaked flyers indicated that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players will have the opportunity to unlock special in-game rewards by scanning QR codes on their Monster Energy drink cans. This type of promotion is typical for the series, as it often collaborates with food and beverage companies as well as restaurant chains. A recent example of this partnership was the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 promotion with Little Caesar's, which was announced in October 2022, just a few weeks before the game's release.

Prior to that, Call of Duty has partnered with a variety of companies including Mountain Dew, Doritos, Burger King, and Pizza Hut. Monster Beverage Corporation already has an existing relationship with Activision, particularly because its Monster Energy brand has been sponsoring the Call of Duty League (CDL) since spring 2023.

The recent leak of pamphlets has bolstered the enthusiasm of fans, fueling speculation that an announcement for Modern Warfare 3 is imminent. While there is still uncertainty surrounding the exact release date, a federal judge has indicated that the game is likely to hit the market in November. It is rumored that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently being developed.
