Participating players in Warzone's reveal event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can look forward to six distinct rewards, which include a tier skip for the Battle Pass and the introduction of the M13C Assault Rifle.
The rewards, such as the Crimson Sound calling card and the gas canister weapon charm, suggest a connection to the storyline and possible references to past Modern Warfare games.
Modern Warfare 3 will include highly anticipated features and beloved locations, accompanied by a progression carry-over system for veteran players, making it highly likely to become another hugely successful installment in the series.
The highly awaited reveal event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is almost here, and Activision has introduced a range of incentives for players participating in the live in-game event in Warzone. This tactic of incorporating live-service elements of a prequel to promote a sequel is not new, and Activision has used it before, as seen with Call of Duty: Warzone laying the foundation for future games.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 marks the third installment in the revamped Modern Warfare subseries and acts as a direct continuation of the previous two titles. It is also the first game in the series to be released just a year after its predecessor. Although rumors about a new Call of Duty game emerged shortly after the launch of Modern Warfare 2, there was no solid evidence to confirm it as the sequel. However, as Modern Warfare 2 faced criticism from the community, certain in-game activities and story developments hinted at looming unknown threats.
Activision has confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 will be released in November. They have also announced an official reveal event called Shadow Siege, taking place on August 17 and featuring Warzone as a playing field. Players who contribute to the event will receive six unique rewards, including a Battle Pass tier skip, the Crimson Sound Calling Card, a Serpent Slayer skin for the Heavy Chopper, a Gas Canister weapon charm, the new M13C Assault Rifle, and a Konni Group emblem. While the post doesn't provide details on how to contribute, acquiring the rewards should not be overly difficult, even for solo players, based on previous events.
What's interesting about these rewards is that they may hint at the narrative direction of the upcoming game. The Crimson Sound calling card could be a sign of a new theme for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The weapon charm is a reference to the first Modern Warfare reboot and the older Modern Warfare 3, where gas attacks were used as a prelude to an invasion. Lastly, the emblem directly relates to the primary antagonist forces of Season 5, known as the Konni group, who are likely to play important roles in future conflicts due to their possible ties to Makarov.
In order to demonstrate Activision's commitment to the series, Modern Warfare 3 is introducing highly anticipated features as requested by the community and hinting at the reappearance of beloved fan-favorite locations like Verdansk. Complemented by a carry-over progression system to accommodate experienced players, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is poised to be another highly successful release. Look out for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's launch on November 10 across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
