Man Utd are still interested in Gravenberch

Although Liverpool currently have the advantage, sources have confirmed that Manchester United still maintain their interest in Gravenberch. In addition, the club is actively negotiating with Fiorentina to secure a deal for Sofyan Amrabat.

United, fully aware of their commitment to adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations, are hoping for a loan agreement, while the Serie A team leans towards a permanent transfer. In the event that negotiations become complicated and drag on, there is a possibility that interest may turn towards Gravenberch if Liverpool is unable to quickly finalize a deal.

The player is desperate for the opportunity to steer his development back on track after being starved of minutes in Munich.

Liverpool's interest in Gravenberch long standing

Liverpool's interest in Gravenberch was first reported by We News last summer. He was one of three options on their shortlist before he decided to join Bayern from Ajax. Regular meetings have been held with the player's representative, Jose Fortes Rodrigues from Raiola, since last year.

Liverpool had considered Gravenberch for the entire summer, but they prioritized other matters while Bayern initially denied any possibility of a sale. However, after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea, Liverpool renewed their efforts to negotiate a deal for Gravenberch.

Erik ten Hag, the coach who brought the versatile midfielder to the first team and brought out his full potential at Ajax, has been attempting to secure his signature since the winter transfer window. In January, Manchester United inquired about Gravenberch's availability, but their pursuit was thwarted by Bayern, leading them to ultimately opt for a loan deal with Marcel Sabitzer.
