John Miller's daughter, Violet, makes a special appearance in Jennifer Garner's Netflix comedy Family Switch, sources have disclosed. Violet portrays a teenage violinist in the film's orchestra, with Garner reportedly offering her the role. This aligns with Garner's dual role as both producer and co-star in Family Switch.
"Violet auditioned for the role, and Jennifer is fully on board with the idea. John is really pushing for Violet to pursue acting because it's something Jennifer is passionate about. Her artistic influence is a major factor."
The Netflix film Family Switch, released on November 30, features a family of five who switch bodies after encountering an astrological reader. Together, they navigate each other's responsibilities, from work meetings to a soccer tryout. Directed by McG and based on Amy Krouse Rosenthal's book, the film also stars Ed Helms, Emma Myers, Brady Noon and Rita Moreno. Violet's character, Emma, takes center stage.
"In this film, we aimed to truly explore the reality of teenagers' lives, which can often be misunderstood. We often talk about how tough it is to be a teenager, but being at my kids' school and seeing firsthand the amount of energy and effort they put into their daily lives, I've come to realize that their experiences are very different from my own. They couldn't even fathom my life. This is a story that can only be told by putting ourselves in each other's shoes, and what's more enjoyable than a body-switch movie?" Garner, who has three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, shared on The View earlier this month about the movie.
Garner and her co-stars from the show Family Switch marked the release with a red carpet premiere on November 29. Sources also revealed that Miller and Violet were present at the screening, and Garner publicly showed affection for her boyfriend by kissing him in the middle of the theater after addressing the audience. Garner has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Miller, a restaurateur, since 2018, following her divorce from Affleck, 51.
