Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, recently joined forces to release their first single. Kennedy, 31, spoke exclusively to Us about the experience of collaborating with Station Little on "I Believe in You," a track he recorded with Lewber, 27. "Ally and I have been working on a lot of music this year, and this is just a great way to add to the collection that we're going to be releasing soon," he shared.
The Bravo star expressed her delight in working with Station Little, an educational brand for children, describing the experience as "really cool." Kennedy also mentioned collaborating with the talented Jordan Ormley on various projects, highlighting the organic development of the current project in the studio and praising its positive message.
Lewber described the new song as being "educational and inspiring," emphasizing its message about following dreams, which she is passionate about. She shared her own experience of moving from Ohio to L.A. with big dreams, and believes that James shares a similar experience.

Kennedy and Lewber noted that a few lyrics in particular resonated with them.
"Life is tough, and you only get one shot at it," Kennedy shared. "I love that it's all real - the stories behind the songs are raw and meaningful, even though they're incredibly catchy."
Lewber added that her top lyric is "the universe is on your side," because as an astrologer, she strongly believes in the power of manifestation.
Kennedy, who is also a DJ, explained that the songwriting process is "very natural" but can still take "weeks" to complete.
"We brainstorm ideas and melodies, then I take it home to work on my laptop. We bring it back to the studio to fine tune it together," Kennedy said. "It's always enjoyable. We have snacks and candy in the studio, and it creates a great, fresh vibe."
