It's been 25 years since Melrose Place brought drama to our TV screens. Star Josie Bissett is reminiscing about her favorite and not-so-favorite moments from filming the iconic series.
"My best memory from the show is when Laura Leighton and I would just burst into laughter fits," Bissett, 53, shared exclusively with We. "Sometimes the things we had to do were so silly, or we were just really tired and couldn't stop laughing. It was just a lot of fun."
Melrose Place aired on Fox for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The show centered around the romantic lives of a group of young adults living in the same apartment complex in Los Angeles. Bissett played the role of Jane Mancini, a talented fashion designer married to Dr. Michael Mancini, portrayed by Thomas Calabro.
The couple, who were a favorite among fans, experienced many challenges in their relationship. They went through a difficult divorce after Michael cheated on Jane in the first season. To make matters worse, he also had an affair with Jane's sister, Sydney (Leighton). Despite their rocky past, Jane and Michael eventually remarried and had a child together. However, their relationship ultimately came to an end for good.
Bissett mentioned that even though there was tension on screen, she enjoyed filming with Calabro because he was very giving and gracious. However, she did not like the intimate moments required by the show.
"I never enjoy shooting love scenes," Bissett shared with Us magazine. "It's uncomfortable and there's a lot of pressure involved."
It is unknown how Bissett's real-life husband, Thomas Doig, feels about those scenes. Bissett revealed that her husband has not watched any episodes of Melrose Place yet, but she intends to change that soon. She mentioned, "It would be enjoyable to revisit and watch from season 1. Maybe that's our plan for this weekend."

During filming, Bissett enjoyed the playful moments she shared with her fellow cast members. One of the most unforgettable scenes for her was the iconic pool scene in season 2. In this scene, Jane and Sydney have a heated confrontation over a wedding dress.
Bissett revealed that they had only one chance to film the scene correctly. She explained that there was only one dress available for the scene, so they had to make sure everything went smoothly. Thankfully, the scene turned out great despite the pressure.
A new version of Melrose Place came out on The CW in 2009, but it only lasted one season. Bissett returned to play the new landlord of the complex. Recently, news came out that CBS is working on a second reboot with original cast members Leighton, Heather Locklear, and Daphne Zuniga. They will be back as Sydney, Amanda, and Jo. The show, created by Lauren Gussis, will focus on the women coming together again after a close friend passes away.

Bissett mentioned to Us that she is keen on returning for the rebooted series as Jane. She also suggested that the idea may already be in progress.
She humorously mentioned, "I think that was a bit of a leak," when hinting at her potential return. She added, "But it's okay because fans are excited and we are keeping our hopes up."
Bissett believes that Jane would likely be coparenting with Michael and possibly starting her own lifestyle brand, following in Gwyneth Paltrow’s footsteps. She is most interested in seeing what all the other characters have been up to all these years.
Bissett expressed her excitement about the possibility of seeing all the relationships back together and how their lives are intertwining once again. She is eager to see what everyone has been up to and expects that old stories and lies will resurface. Bringing Melrose back into our current time would be a lot of fun for her.
Bissett believes that Melrose Place has remained popular because it brings back nostalgic memories of TV from the past. In the '90s, life was simpler and people could relate to the craziness of the show. Audiences also enjoy living vicariously through the characters on the show.
