Could MK vs DC Still Happen?

I would manage your expectations as I am uncertain about their future plans. Although we proposed it some time ago, the response was not favorable. Ultimately, I remain unsure if they will continue with the project. It is my sincere hope that they do and that I am invited to participate. Being involved would be amazing as I have a genuine passion for it. However, the outcome remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the prospect of a DC Mortal Kombat is undeniably exciting.

The clash between the two franchises began in the 2008 video game Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Since then, they have regularly intersected. Following a failed attempt to bring them together, the overlooked mobile game Batman Arkham City Lockdown featured Batman taking down Kano in a side mission three years later. This trend continued with multiple cameos in console games. Injustice: Gods Among Us, a DC fighting game created by the same studio as Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm Studios, included appearances from Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden. Simultaneously, Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1 featured Joker and Peacemaker respectively. Joker even referenced MK vs DC in his interactions with other characters.

Unfortunately, the content cannot be revised as it is already well-written.

Gunn has confirmed that multiverse projects will continue to be incorporated into the DC animated universe. The timing of Adams' initial pitch to WB remains unclear, as it may have occurred before or during the Gunn and Safran takeover of DC. As the final decision-makers regarding the use of DC characters, Gunn and Safran's inclusion of Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 indicates their belief in the potential of these two worlds colliding. Although a Mortal Kombat vs. DC movie may not be imminent, there is a possibility of another game on the horizon.
