Production for Season 5 of Netflix's Stranger Things has officially begun, reuniting beloved characters in a new photo shared by Netflix on X (formerly Twitter). The photo includes the show's creators and stars like Millie Bobby Brown, Jamie Campbell Bower, David Harbour, Charlie Heaton, and Noah Schnapp, as well as Winona Ryder and Finn Wolfhard. This exciting update marks the return to Hawkins, Indiana for the much-anticipated series.
The creators of Stranger Things previously teased Season 5 in a rather peculiar manner. They took to X last year to liken it to "if Season 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids." Initially scheduled to commence production last year, the filming of Stranger Things 5 was postponed due to the Hollywood writers' strike.
This upcoming season will mark the conclusion of Stranger Things. While details remain scarce, the Duffer brothers have clarified that the events thus far were not "all a dream." Despite a fan theory suggesting that the story is merely a product of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign played by the boys from the show, the creators have debunked this notion.
Currently, there is a Stranger Things prequel play called The First Shadow that's now on stage in London. It's set in 1959 and focuses on a young Henry Keel.

As a Gen Z fan of Stranger Things, I am thrilled and excited about the upcoming Season 5. The first look at the production has me eagerly anticipating the new adventures and mysteries that await the beloved characters in Hawkins. The return of the original cast, including Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard, promises a nostalgic and heartwarming experience for fans who have grown up with the show. The creators' description of Season 5 as a combination of Season 1 and 4, injected with steroids, further fuels my excitement for an epic and action-packed season.
However, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness knowing that this will be the final season of Stranger Things. The show has been a significant part of my life, and it's hard to imagine saying goodbye to the characters and the world of Hawkins. Nevertheless, I trust the Duffer brothers to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the series, tying up loose ends and giving fans a memorable ending. The prequel play, The First Shadow, also intrigues me, as it offers a glimpse into the origins of the Upside Down and Henry Keel's transformation into Vecna. Overall, I am filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I eagerly await the release of Stranger Things Season 5.
