Chris Sutton, the former Celtic star, will be joining We for the 2023/24 cinch Premiership season. Our coverage of the upcoming campaign begins on Saturday, August 5, with Sutton's previous club, Celtic, unveiling the champions' flag at home against Ross County. Additionally, we will have live coverage of Rangers' match against Kilmarnock on the same day.
Sutton, who spent six successful years at Parkhead, winning three league titles, three Scottish Cups, and one Scottish League Cup, will join as a lead pundit. He will be joined by former Rangers striker Kris Boyd, as well as Eilidh Barbour and Ian Crocker. Sutton is known for his outspoken views on Scottish football. He had a remarkable 21-year playing career, including winning the Premier League title with Blackburn Rovers. He also played for Norwich City, Chelsea, Birmingham City, and Aston Villa.
"I can't wait to join the We team ahead of an exciting new cinch Premiership season," Sutton said.
"I'm sure Kris and I will have some good discussions throughout!"
Director of football Gary Hughes commented, "Chris possesses the same sharpness on the microphone as he displayed in front of goal during his time at Celtic. We eagerly anticipate his inclusion in our coverage of the cinch Premiership, where his remarkable expertise and outspoken viewpoints will enrich our broadcasts."
