The main staff members were also confirmed in the video. And don't forget, we already know the talented cast, with Minami Tanaka playing the lead role of Nina, Yuichiro Umehara as Prince Azure, and Koki Uchiyama as Seto. Kenichiro Komaya is directing the anime series at Signal.MD studios. Yuka Yamada is in charge of both the series composition and its screenplay. Kyoko Taketani is designing the characters, and Natsumi Tabuchi is composing the music for the series. More staff members are expected to be announced as the series’ release date approaches.

Kodansha USA Publishing is responsible for releasing the manga digitally in English. The third compilation volume for the series is scheduled to be published in print on March 5, 2024. The most recent digital English release is the 11th volume, which became available on January 9, 2024.

The story follows Nina, who had a difficult upbringing, resorting to theft to survive and eventually being sold into slavery by her own brother. However, her captor, Prince Azure, unexpectedly decreed that she would live the life of a princess, specifically that of the recently deceased princess-priestess, Alisha. Despite her changing circumstances, Nina is determined not to give up her old life without a fight. Azure may just be the one to match her wits, but can she trust him? And as she grapples with budding feelings in her heart, knowing she is expected to marry another in the future, what will happen next?

The series originally launched in Kodansha’s Be Love magazine in October 2019, and won the Best Shojo Manga award in the 46th annual Manga Awards.
