In July 2023, PlayStation Plus members in higher tiers will no longer have access to 10 games as they will be removed from the service. Sony regularly adds new games to the catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, allowing them to enjoy new titles each month. However, Sony also removes games from these tiers, as demonstrated in June 2023 when 16 games, including Red Faction 2, Agents of Mayhem, John Wick Hex, and Black Mirror, were removed. Unfortunately, users do not get to keep these games once they leave the Extra and Premium categories, and will need to purchase them separately if they want to continue playing. Sony has recently updated the list of games that will be leaving PlayStation Plus in July 2023.

Furthermore, the BioShock games garnered critical acclaim, with BioShock and BioShock Infinite receiving high scores of 96 and 94 respectively on Metacritic.
The number of games leaving PS Plus in May was much larger compared to the current total. In May 2023, over 30 games were removed from PlayStation Plus, including popular titles like Marvel's Spider-Man, Metro: Last Light Redux, Dreamfall Chapters, and Resident Evil.
Sony has not yet announced the game lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in July 2023. It will be interesting to see which games are added to the service to replace these 10 titles. In June 2023, Sony introduced 29 new games to PS Plus Extra and Premium, including notable titles such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Far Cry 6, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Thief, and more. Premium subscribers also have the opportunity to try out Killzone: Liberation and Worms, among others.
