The 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season kicks off on Friday, August 4, with Sheffield Wednesday, the winners of the League One play-offs, hosting Southampton at Hillsborough. The match will be broadcast live on We.

On Saturday, August 5, the League One champions, Plymouth, will be hosting Huddersfield. Leicester City and Leeds United will both start their journey in the second tier by playing their first matches at home on Sunday, August 6.
