Blue Orchestra chronicles the journey of Hajime Aono, a talented violinist who idolized his father. However, Hajime's world shattered when his father's involvement in a scandalous affair led to his parents' divorce. This traumatic experience left Hajime scarred, causing him to turn his back on the violin.
However, fate intervened when Hajime crossed paths with Ritsuko Akine, a struggling violinist, during his final year of middle school. Recognizing her potential, Hajime took it upon himself to guide her by introducing her to a renowned teacher. It was under this teacher's influence that Hajime found the courage to pick up the violin once more.
Inspired by their teacher's advice, Hajime and Ritsuko made the life-changing decision to enroll in Umimaku High School. Renowned for its unrivaled success in the national competition, which it had won an astounding eight consecutive times, Umimaku High School became their gateway to pursue their musical dreams.

Consequently, Aono and Ritsuko dedicate themselves to their studies in order to gain acceptance into the institution. After the commencement ceremony, they coincidentally cross paths with Nao Saeki, a prolific violin prodigy, renowned for securing top rankings in numerous competitions. Saeki's admission into the school is solely predicated on his profound musical ability. From that point onward, the trio engages in friendly rivalry, constantly vying to showcase their violin prowess within the high school's esteemed orchestra club.
