The BLEACH: No Breaths From Hell special one-shot will be released in color this September, reintroducing a concept only referenced in the early stages of the series.

In honor of the BLEACH series' 20th anniversary, a special one-shot has been released. Taking place after the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, it delves into the intriguing concept of the Konsо̄, which holds significant importance in the BLEACH storyline. This captivating story revolves around Kazui, the son of Ichigo, and Ichika, the daughter of Rukia. It concludes with an enticing cliffhanger, teasing the potential expansion of the BLEACH interpretation of Hell.

The official Shо̄nen Jump Twitter account announced on Thursday that the special one-shot, BLEACH: No Breaths From Hell, will be released in color this September. Set after the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, this one-shot reintroduces a concept that was briefly mentioned in the early stages of the BLEACH series and in the last animated film, The Hell Verse. Originally released to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary, the colorized version of BLEACH: No Breaths From Hell is slated to be available in digital stores on September 4.

The one-shot chapter "No Breaths From Hell" was released in August 2021, marking the 20th anniversary of the series. It is a 73-page chapter that can be accessed digitally through VIZ's Shо̄nen Jump online magazine and app, as well as Shueisha's Manga Plus online platform. Set a decade after the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, also known as the "Protection of the Soul King Great War" within the series, the story revolves around Ichigo being invited to a special ceremony in Soul Society. This ceremony aims to honor the high-ranked Shinigami who lost their lives during the war by laying their souls to rest.

Within the BLEACH storyline, the Konsо̄ serves as an integral aspect. It is the primary method by which a Shinigami ensures a soul's safe passage into the afterlife. In "No Breaths From Hell," it is revealed that exceptionally powerful souls disrupt the fragile balance between the worlds when they die. To prevent potential catastrophes, a special Konsо̄ is performed. However, the true nature of this process and its complexities go beyond what initially meets the eye.

In this one-shot, Kazui, the son of Ichigo, and Ichika, the daughter of Rukia, are introduced. The story ends on a cliffhanger, hinting at the possibility of further exploration into BLEACH's interpretation of Hell.

The original BLEACH manga, created by Tite Kubo, was serialized in Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine from August 2001 to August 2016, spanning 74 volumes. As part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations for the BLEACH franchise, a spin-off series called Burn The Witch was announced. Additionally, fans can look forward to the return of the anime with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, which will consist of 52 episodes spread out evenly over four cours.

The ongoing second part, titled "The Separation," will conclude on September 30. Additionally, the digitally colored one-shot, BLEACH: No Breaths From Hell, will be made available in digital stores on September 4.
