Highlights
The Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1 aims to address community feedback by improving the buggy behavior of Mounts and balancing classes like Sorcerers and Barbarians.
The major gameplay updates consist of altering the monster density in Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides, enhancing the health of bosses, and ensuring guaranteed drops of legendary items. Additionally, the patch tackles player grievances concerning the gold economy by reducing refund expenses and reversing the increase in teleportation time.
Several gameplay updates have been detailed in addition to class-specific changes in Diablo 4. Notably, monster density changes for Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides have been made. Bosses at level 80 will now have 50% more health, with this percentage increasing as bosses reach level 150, where they will have 150% increased health. Furthermore, bosses at level 35 and higher will have a 100% chance to drop a legendary item. Additionally, Treasure Goblins starting at level 15 and Legion Events starting at level 35 will now guarantee a legendary item drop. The community has raised concerns about the itemization problem in Diablo 4, and while guaranteed drops don't completely solve the issue, it is promising to see that Blizzard is addressing it.
In addition to these changes, Blizzard is adjusting the in-game economy by reducing the refund cost for Paragon Board and Skill points. Players have complained about the harsh gold economy in Diablo 4, with one player spending nearly 9 million gold to respec their Paragon Board. Fortunately, this issue is being addressed in the upcoming patch, with a reduction in cost starting at lower levels and reaching a maximum of 40% at level 100. Some players also expressed dissatisfaction with the increase in teleportation time from 3 seconds to 5 seconds, which has now been reversed.
Barbarian

We have introduced several balance adjustments to Classes. The aims of this patch are as follows:
- Enhancing the efficiency of Sorcerers and Barbarians while addressing the following for each Class: Sorcerer - Enhancing late-game survivability, primarily through improvements in the Paragon Board.
Add late-game excitement by increasing the power of Unique items.
Strengthen builds that aren’t reaching a high power level.
Diversify the use cases for Legendary items and other effects that are overly situational.
Rogue
FlayFury gained increased from 10 to 13.
Enhanced FrenzyFury gained increased from 2 to 3.
Enhanced RuptureDamage increased from 45% to 70%.
Enhanced ChargeDamage increased from 30% to 60%.
Mighty Charge:
The duration of vulnerability has been extended from 2 to 4 seconds.
Violent Upheaval:
If Upheaval causes damage to at least 2 enemies or a Boss, you will receive the Berserking buff for 2 seconds. This buff duration will increase to 3 seconds if Upheaval damages at least 4 enemies.
Gushing WoundsBleed damage dealt based on Critical Damage bonus increased from 100% to 115%.
Bleed damage when Overpowering increased from 11% to 70%.
Walking ArsenalBonus damage duration increased from 6 to 8 seconds.

Skills
Flickering Fire BoltFire Bolt generates 2 Mana when hitting an enemy.
Greater Chain LightningEach time Chain Lightning bounces, it deals 5% increased damage for its duration.
Destructive Chain LightningChance to form Crackling Energy increased from 25% to 30%.
Esu's Ferocity now provides an additional benefit. Both bonuses will be activated for a duration of 3 seconds upon landing a Critical Strike on a Boss.
Under the Combustion ability, your Burning effects will inflict x20% more damage. Furthermore, each distinct application of Burning on the enemy will provide an additional x2% increase in damage.
Paragon
Searing Heat Legendary NodeCasting Fireball or Meteor increases your Critical Strike Chance by 5% for 5 seconds, up to 15%.
Warding Rare GlyphDamage reduction increased from 13% to 25%.
Keeper of Flames Rare NodeDamage reduction increased from 4% to 5%.
Bonus damage reduction from burning enemies increased from 4% to 5%.
Guarded Rare NodeDamage reduction from Vulnerable enemies increased from 4% to 5%.
Bonus damage reduction from Vulnerable enemies increased from 4% to 5%.
Oppressive Rare NodeDamage reduction from Vulnerable enemies increased from 4% to 5%.
Serpentine AspectYou may have 1 additional Hydra active, and Hydra’s duration is increased by 14-24%.
This now also affects Hydra’s Enchantment Effect.
Increase the Critical Strike Damage of Meteor and Fireball by 20%-40%, with the bonus doubled against Healthy enemies. Additionally, extend the duration for Bonus Movement Speed of Flamewalker's Aspect from 4 to 6 seconds.
Gravitational AspectBall Lightning orbits around you and deals 15-25% increased damage.
Aspect of Unbroken TetherAdditional Chain Lightning bounces increased from 2 to 4.
Bounding Conduit now grants a higher increase in Bonus Movement Speed, ranging from 25-30%.
Introducing a new legendary item called Mage-Lord’s Aspect, which enhances Vyr's Mastery Key Passive. This new item increases Damage Reduction by 6-9% for each nearby enemy, with a maximum of 18-27%.
Aspect of Frozen OrbitDamage increased from 20-30% to 30-40%.
Storm Swell AspectBonus damage increased from 11-20% to 21-30%.
Incendiary Aspect: Your Pyromancy skills have the potential to restore 10 Mana with a chance of 12-17%.
Snowguard's Aspect: When inside your personal Blizzard or for 3 seconds after exiting it, you receive reduced damage by 20-25%.
Uniques
Gloves of the IlluminatorDamage penalty reduced from 65-55% to 45-35%.
Damage to Stunned affix replaced with Lucky Hit: Change to Restore Resource.
Illuminator’s first bounce occurs much closer to the player.
Enhanced Bone SpiritCooldown reduction increased from 6 to 7 seconds.

Empowering Reaper's Aspect
When Sever damages enemies, there is a 10-20% probability that a Blight pool will emerge beneath the targeted foe, inflicting an additional 20-60% damage. This occurrence is limited to once every 3 seconds.
Aspect of Exposed FleshLucky Hit: Up to a 10% chance to generate 30-50 Essence when hitting a Vulnerable enemy.
Aspect of DecayDamage increased from 20-40% to 25-45%.
Chance for Golem to reduce its cooldown increased from 1-4% to 2-5%.
Chance to Golem to spawn a corpse increased from 0.5-2% to 1-2.5%.

Monster Density
We are increasing monster density in Nightmare Dungeons and in Helltide.
Bosses at Level 100 have 100% increased health.
Bosses at Level 120 have 120% increased health.
Bosses at Level 150 and above have 150% increased health.
Bosses and Events
Treasure Goblins now have a higher chance to drop Legendary items between Level 6 and 14, and they guarantee a Legendary item drop once you reach Level 15.
Legion Events have been enhanced to provide more rewards and guarantee a Legendary item drop once you reach level 35.
General
We have implemented several enhancements to the interaction between damage and other effects with active barriers. This means that any bonus damage or bonus effects that are triggered on-hit or when dealing damage will now also be applied even if the target has an active barrier. An example of this is the Exploit Paragon Glyph, which will now inflict the Vulnerable status on enemies that possess an active barrier.
Varshan can now penetrate and break through any Bone Wall segments he dashes through.
The cost of refunding Skill and Paragon Points has been reduced. The reduction begins with a smaller rate at lower Levels and reaches a maximum of 40% at Level 100. Examples: Level 50 - 12%, Level 60 - 18%, Level 70 - 24%, Level 80 - 30%.
The cast time for Leave Dungeon has been reverted to 3 seconds after considering player feedback and acknowledging the negative impact it had on game responsiveness. The ability was initially implemented as a means for easy escape for Hardcore players, but we realized that this outweighed the drawback. The change has been reversed.

Accessibility
Screen Reader support for reading class icons has been added.
Fixed an issue where progression in the Final Straw quest could be blocked during Co-op play.
Fixed an issue where only the first player could activate Points of Interest during Co-op play.
The problem where the quest progress tracker of other players wouldn't display correctly during certain situations in Local Co-Op play has been resolved.
The issue of the Season Info not being displayed correctly when Player 2 created a new character during Local Co-Op play has been fixed.
Fixed an issue where a player engaged in conversation with an NPC would see a black screen if another player in their party teleported away.
Dungeons
Addressed an occurrence where the Resource Burn modifier for Nightmare Dungeons was affecting both nearby and far enemies instead of solely distant ones.
Resolved a situation where the Boss within the Den of the Blighted could sustain damage despite the presence of a fog wall.
Critters, which are peaceful creatures, will no longer explode upon dying in Nightmare Dungeons with the Death Pulse affix. This explosion never caused any damage.
Addressed a problem where players had the ability to exit their Party after dying in a Nightmare dungeon, join back, and then re-enter the dungeon without their revives being included in the Dungeon's revive limit.
Fixed an issue where Keeper Xor'lim sometimes would not drop Garan's Key in the Garan Hold Nightmare Dungeon.
Gameplay
Improved the functionality of Lunging Strike to prevent the player character from becoming trapped underground.
Resolved the problem of non-combat skills consuming the bonus Critical Strike chance provided by the Focused Rage malignant power.
Fixed an issue where the Aspect of Berserk Ripping wouldn't cause targets to bleed when Berserking.
Druid
Necromancer
Fixed an issue that caused more Blood Orbs than intended to be active at the same time. Blood Orbs now function like Crackling Energy in that they cap at 30.
The Untimely Death aspect has been updated to increase Overpower damage on all lanced targets, not just the Blood Lance that was cast.
Equipping the Decrepit Aura Malignant Power twice will now correctly activate the power with the lowest number of near enemies required, rather than triggering the wrong one.
Resolved an issue where the loading screens would incorrectly display shields obscuring the face of Necromancers. Addressed a bug where the Necromancer's Imperfectly Balanced passive skill was restricted to a maximum allocation of 1 point. Rectified a bug that prevented the activation of the Decrepit Aura malignant power while mounted.
Resolved a problem where the Shadow clone's taunt effect caused by the Trickery malignant power had the ability to Taunt other players in PvP, and the taunt could not be countered by Unstoppable effects.
Resolved a problem where the Inner Sight gauge failed to accumulate when attacking a monster with the active effect from the Barber Malignant Heart.
Resolved a problem where the Omnipower Malignant Power did not correctly consume extra mana, consequently failing to activate other interactions involving additional resource consumption, such as the damage reduction from the Mana Shield passive.
Addressed an issue where the Omnipower Malignant Power had inconsistent launching of the correct number of projectiles. Furthermore, the tooltip has been revised to provide a more accurate description of the power.
The previous tooltip did not accurately reflect that the ability would consume your entire mana pool. It will now consume mana based on the number rolled on the affix.
Resolved an issue where the effects of the Dark Dance malignant power would reset the Align the Elements passive.
Improved the Spur skill speed boost while mounted to ensure that there are no discrepancies between Controller and Keyboard and Mouse.
Resolved the problem of Invasion portals being pushed beyond the screen during specific Helltide events due to Fear effects.
Improved the handling of post-death damaging effects to properly factor in the damage reduction from close or distant enemies' stats.
Resolved the issue causing unpredictable behavior when mounting your steed while moving on console.
Monsters
Fixed an issue where Elite enemies with the Teleporter affix could teleport from off-screen and deal excessive damage.
Fixed an issue where the Mahjoob monster was more difficult to defeat than intended.
Quests
Improved the game by resolving a bug that was causing progression to be hindered in the Reject the Mother quest whenever players exited and re-entered the game.
Enhanced the game functionality by fixing a bug in the Desperate Remedies quest, ensuring that quest objectives are not overlooked while players are mounted.
Addressed an issue where the Gore-soaked barricade could remain invincible upon exiting and re-entering the Cellar during the Fury Against Fate quest.
Resolved a problem where players could engage in multiple battles with Varshan during the concluding Seasonal quest by resetting the spawning Dungeon.
The Dark Dance malignant power no longer triggers unintended effects that occur when the player deals damage.
Players who previously lost the Invoker of Varshan recipe can now acquire it from any malignant kill after completing the seasonal quest line.
Corrected an instance in which the Barber malignant power absorbed damage from all players rather than just the one using it.
Addressed a problem wherein the Urn of Bargaining season blessing caused an unintended rise in enchantment costs for items.
The visual effects of the Arise emote will now properly appear even when playing on low graphical settings.
Player movement will no longer be locked during the duration of the Dagger Tap emote for Rogue from the Battle Pass.
UI
Fixed an issue where text was missing when speaking to Kres during the Tangled Memories quest.
Subtitles during the Light Extinguished quest have been synchronized with the voiced dialogue.
The tooltip no longer displays incorrect names for Wrathful Malignant Hearts when equipping two rings with the heart socketed in them.
Corrected an issue where the tooltips for the Social and Miscellaneous tabs in the action wheel did not match.
Corrected an issue where the tooltip for Battlepass emotes incorrectly identified the Emotes as Shop emotes instead of Seasonal emotes.
Fixed an issue where the Stele of Velkhova and Hero Overwhelmed headstones were missing names in the Wardrobe.

Improved button highlighting for controllers no longer disappears when dismissing the Buy More Platinum prompt while navigating the Battle Pass menu.
