John Mahoney, the actor who portrayed Martin, passed away in 2018, and David Hyde Pierce chose not to return as Niles in the reboot. Nonetheless, Dr. Lilith Sternin, Frasier's former wife, will be making a special appearance in the new series. Paramount+ officially announced in March that Bebe Neuwirth will be reprising her role.
According to Paramount+, they will come together again at Freddys birthday celebration. The description of the episode states that the initially enjoyable gathering with friends and family ultimately transforms into a remarkable confrontation between Lilith and Frasier.
