Celtic kicks off the 2023/24 Scottish Premiership season against Ross County at home Exciting clashes against Aberdeen and St Johnstone await in August, followed by a highly anticipated visit to Rangers on September 3 Catch all the live action of Premier League, EFL, Scottish Premiership, and FA Womens Super League on Sky Sports

Celtic, the reigning champions, will commence their quest to defend their title by playing against Ross County in the first match of the 2023/24 Scottish Premiership season on Saturday, August 5. This thrilling encounter will be broadcast live on We.

Upon his return to Celtic Park, Brendan Rodgers will face formidable opponents in the form of Ross County, Aberdeen, and St Johnstone during his initial month in charge. He aims to replicate the impressive achievement of Ange Postecoglou, who led the team to a triumphant treble triumph in the previous season.

The first Old Firm match of the season between Celtic and Rangers will take place at Ibrox on September 3. The reverse fixture will see Rangers traveling to Parkhead on December 30. Both of these matches will be broadcasted live on We. The Glasgow rivals will meet again for a third time on April 6.

After Celtic's away fixture against St Mirren on January 2, their domestic campaign will go on a pause for the winter break. The season will resume with a home fixture against Ross County on January 27.

Celtic's first match after the division will be held on April 27, as the Scottish Premiership regular season will come to an end on the weekend of May 18-19.

In addition to aiming for continued dominance at home, Celtic is determined to improve their performance in the group stages of the Champions League, having only acquired two points in their previous outing.

Key dates for the 2023/24 season

The Scottish Premiership season starts on the weekend of August 5/6, only to take a break from January 3 to January 19, 2024.

Following this pause, the post-split fixtures commence on April 13/14, ultimately concluding the regular season on May 18/19.

The Premiership play-off final, which will take place on May 23 and 26 and will be broadcast live on We, will mark the conclusion of the campaign. As for the Championship, League One, and League Two seasons, they will commence on August 5 and conclude on the weekend of May 3/4.

The Viaplay League Cup final is scheduled to take place on December 17, while the date for the Scottish Cup final has not been confirmed yet.

The Europa League final will be held in Dublin on May 22, the Europa Conference League final will take place in Athens on May 29, and the Champions League final is set to be held on June 1 at Wembley.
