The Tensura anime staff hosted a special Tensura 10th Live event on Saturday, December 16, 2023, to celebrate the anime's 10th Anniversary. During the event, a trailer and key visual were released, revealing that Season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will premiere in April 2024 and will run for two consecutive cours.
The official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle of the anime then shared a promotional video and illustration with fans. The upcoming sequel will be airing on Nippon TV Stations and BS11 in Japan, with the possibility of being streamed worldwide on Crunchyroll and Muse Asia, although this has not been confirmed.
The 42-second teaser trailer introduces Rimuru Tempest, Hinata Sakaguchi, Benimaru, Souei, and other significant characters who will have a major impact on the sequel. The short clip intriguingly teases the upcoming Rimuru vs. Hinata showdown, which will be a central focus in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3.
The anime's staff not only released the trailer but also revealed a key visual featuring Rimuru's team facing off against Hinata's team. The illustration conveys the theme of battle, as Rimuru Tempest aims to thwart the leader of the Western Saint Church's Ten Great Saints.

At 8Bit Studios, Atsushi Nakayama is directing season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, with Toshizo Nemoto serving as the series composer. The character design is helmed by Ryoma Ebata, and Hitoshi Fujima is responsible for composing the music.
Additionally, the anime will feature the return of the previous cast members in their respective roles. This includes Miho Okasaki as the voice of Rimuru and Megumi Toyoguchi reprising her role as the Great Sage. Makoto Furukawa will voice Benimaru once again, and Sayaka Senbongi will return as Shuna.

Yen Press releases the English version of the light novel That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, where the plot follows the story of Satoru Mikami, a discontented thirty-seven-year-old trapped in a dead-end job and unhappy with his routine life. After being killed by a robber, he is reborn in a fantasy world as a Slime Monster, offering him a fresh start.
