Other Fan Casts For The Live-Action Legend of Zelda Movie
Following the announcement of the live-action Legend of Zelda movie by Nintendo, fans took to social media to enthusiastically discuss their ideal casting choices for the various roles. Tom Holland has consistently emerged as a top contender for the lead character, Link, and has garnered significant support ever since rumors of a live-action Legend of Zelda series on Netflix began circulating. During this time, Emma Watson also gained considerable popularity as a coveted choice for the central role of the princess.
With Sony working on a movie adaptation, it seems that both Holland and Watson might have lost their chances. At 27 years old, Holland might be considered too old to portray Link, who is typically portrayed as being around 10–17 years old in the games. Watson, on the other hand, has not been active in the acting industry for the past five years, leading to speculations of her retirement. However, at 33 years old, the Harry Potter star could be the perfect fit to portray the 37-year-old princess.
In terms of fan preferences, Schafer seems to be the favored choice to play Zelda in a live-action setting due to her remarkable physical resemblance to the character, even boasting elf-like ears. Another contender for the role of Link is Morgan Davies, an emerging Australian actor known for his performances in Evil Dead Rise and One Piece season 1. Given the ongoing progress of the live-action Legend of Zelda movie and the resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike, the casting for Link and Zelda will be finalized in due course.

As a Gen Z fan, I am incredibly excited about the potential for a live-action Legend of Zelda movie. I grew up playing the games and have always been a huge fan of the franchise. I think it would be amazing to see the world of Hyrule brought to life on the big screen.
I also think that Hunter Schafer would be a great choice for the role of Zelda. She has the perfect look and气质for the character, and I think she would be able to bring Zelda's strength and determination to life. I would be so excited to see her in the role.
