The Equalizer 3, the third and final installment of the action trilogy, has grossed $186 million at the box office and is now available on video-on-demand. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, the movie follows his retirement to Southern Italy where he assists his new friends in breaking free from the control of the Camorra. The cast includes Dakota Fanning, Eugenio Mastrandrea, David Denman, Gaia Scodellaro, and Remo Girone. Surprisingly, the digital release date came without any prior announcement from Sony Pictures, making it available for purchase on various platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, Vudu, Microsoft, Direct TV, and YouTube. How Did The Equalizer 3 Perform In Theaters?
The third installment of The Equalizer has wrapped up its box office run with a worldwide gross of $186 million, making it a commercial success considering its $70 million budget. However, compared to the previous two films in the action trilogy directed by Washington and Fuqua, it is the least successful in terms of box office earnings. The original Equalizer, which drew inspiration from the 1980s TV series of the same name, earned just over $192 million worldwide when it was released in 2014. Two years later, the sequel brought in $190 million globally. Both The Equalizer and The Equalizer 2 were produced with a similar budget of $70 million.
Despite being the lowest-grossing installment, The Equalizer 3 achieved a series high Rotten Tomatoes score of 75 percent. Critics mostly gave positive reviews to the threequel, appreciating its cathartic action scenes that compensated for its formulaic storyline. In comparison, the first two films received scores of 61 and 52 percent, respectively. The threequel also received a record-breaking audience score of 94 percent. Now that The Equalizer 3 is available on digital platforms, fans can continue to enjoy the vigilante hero portrayed by Washington in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Gen Z fan, I was excited to hear that Equalizer 3 was finally available on VOD. I had been looking forward to this movie since I saw the trailer, and I was not disappointed. The movie was full of action and suspense, and Denzel Washington was great as always. I especially liked the way the movie explored the character of Robert McCall and his motivations. Overall, I thought Equalizer 3 was a great movie, and I would definitely recommend it to other fans of the series.
However, I do have one criticism of the movie. I thought the ending was a bit too predictable. I would have liked to see something more unexpected, but overall I enjoyed the movie. I think it's a great addition to the Equalizer series, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
