Jeopardy! now has the decision to allow Emma Stone to participate on the famous game show.

“[Jeopardy! is] my favorite show,” she said during the January 11th episode of Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast. “That’s my dream … I apply every June.”

Clayton Davis, Jenelle Riley, Jazz Tangcay, and Michael Schneider, part of the roundtable, were surprised to discover that Stone had not been approached to participate in the quiz show, especially the celebrity edition. Fans of the popular series are aware that the celebrity spinoff, which raises funds for charity, has simpler questions and less strict rules - something that fails to satisfy Stone's long-standing ambition. "I have no interest in appearing on Celebrity Jeopardy!" the actress declared. "I want to earn my place. I would love to compete on the original Jeopardy!"

Stone has revealed that she has attempted the Jeopardy! test multiple times, but she is still uncertain about her performance. "You can only take it once a year with your email address. So every June I take the quiz and they don't tell you how you did," she explained. "They just say, 'We'll let you know in the next nine to 12 months if you got on the show.' And guess what, I haven't gotten on the show."

Stone is uncertain about why she hasn't been invited to join Jeopardy! as a contestant, but she feels confident that she can handle the pressure. She watches the show every night and keeps track of how many answers she gets right, convinced that she could compete on the show.

Jeopardy! is currently in its 40th season and remains one of the longest-running game shows in TV history. Ken Jennings took over as host alongside Mayim Bialik following the death of longtime host Alex Trebek in 2020. However, Bialik revealed in December 2023 that she was no longer hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy! She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and thanked everyone who supported her during her time on the show.

After her sudden departure, Jennings, 49, admitted he was surprised by her firing.

"It caught me off guard because I really enjoyed working with Mayim and I will miss her," Jennings told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't know the reasons behind her decision or her thoughts on it."
