Emily Ratajkowski is repurposing her engagement ring from her ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard. She shared on Instagram on Tuesday, March 19, that she is now wearing the ring as a "divorce ring." In the post, the 32-year-old model posted some sultry selfies flaunting the two large rocks on her hand.
In the slideshow, Ratajkowski was shown lying in bed without a top, wearing only jewelry. She playfully displayed the sparkly rings on her ring and pinky fingers. The two-stone engagement ring, featuring a pear-shaped diamond and princess-cut diamond on separate gold bands, was split in the photos.
These stunning new rings were created by Alison Chemla, the talented creative director of the luxury jewelry brand Alison Lou.
"We created the original two stone engagement ring that became a trend... And now, @emrata is rocking our Divorce Rings™️," the jeweler shared on Instagram.

Emily Ratajkowski shared her reasons for changing the ring from her previous marriage. The couple, who have a 3-year-old son named Sylvester, separated in July 2022 after being married for four years.
She told Vogue on Tuesday that the rings symbolize her personal growth. Emphasizing that a woman should not have to give up her diamonds just because of a breakup.
Ratajkowski reached out to her friend, Chemla, to transform the original ring into something unique. The two collaborated on ideas to give the jewels a fresh look and evoke a new emotion every time she wears them.
“The idea of divorce is a separation, so it was always going to be splitting the ring into two separate but complementary rings,” Chemla said to the outlet.

Ratajkowski admitted that the period after her breakup was tough. However, she found that creating something new from her past was very meaningful to her.
"It's been a wild couple of years, but I finally feel a sense of peace within myself. I'm looking forward to the life I have now and the future I'll build with my son," she shared. "These rings somehow remind me that I can find happiness in unexpected ways."
Almost a year after her breakup, Ratajkowski shared on a January 2023 episode of her "High Low" podcast that she still keeps the ring Bear-McClard gave her because she enjoys a good "divorce story."
"I don’t see divorce as a sad thing," she shared. "Whenever I hear about someone getting divorced or see it in the news, I have to remind myself that it's considered sad. I often find myself saying to others, 'Good for you.'"
