Emily Osment and Montana Jordan’s new spinoff series, connected to Young Sheldon, holds a special tie to The Big Bang Theory.
During the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, Osment, 32, shared exclusively with We that they will be filming on the same stage as The Big Bang Theory. "It's really special for us," she said. "There are a lot of good vibes on that set."
The Big Bang Theory aired for 12 seasons on CBS from 2007 to 2019. Young Sheldon, which debuted in 2017, focuses on a younger version of Jim Parsons' Sheldon Cooper (played by Iain Armitage) growing up as a child prodigy in Texas. The cast includes Lance Barber as Sheldon's dad, George, Zoe Perry as Sheldon's mom, Mary, Annie Potts as Sheldon's grandmother, Meemaw, and Raegan Revord as Sheldon's twin sister, Missy.
In the series, Jordan, 21, portrays Sheldon's older brother, Georgie, while Osment joined in season 5 as Mandy. The couple has a daughter, Constance, during season 6 and eventually ties the knot in the final season. Recently, it was revealed that a spinoff featuring Georgie and Mandy, titled Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, is in development. The new show will explore the couple's life after the conclusion of Young Sheldon, set to air its series finale on Thursday, May 16.
Osment is excited to reunite with Jordan for a new "multi-cam" series, with production set to start at the end of July. She has previous experience with multi-cam shows, having appeared in series like Hannah Montana, Young & Hungry, and Pretty Smart.
Jordan, who is making his multi-cam debut, mentioned that Emily has been helping him out. Osment, on the other hand, offered words of encouragement to her costar, expressing how everything will change once the live audience starts screaming for him. She believes it will be a great experience.

Jordan hinted that fans may see familiar faces from Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory in the new spinoff. He mentioned that everyone hopes for crossover appearances, but emphasized the importance of maintaining the unique identity of the new show.
When asked about what surprises are in store for fans on Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, Jordan remained secretive but expressed confidence that viewers will thoroughly enjoy the upcoming episodes.
Jordan, known for playing a dad on TV, is now getting ready to become a real-life parent with his partner, Jenna Weeks. The couple shared the exciting news in January that they are expecting their first child together. Jordan mentioned that while he has experience with kids from his "two little nieces," being a dad is a whole new ball game compared to being an uncle.

He joked about giving back his nieces, saying, "I can give them little suckers back. I can't give my own kid back. I'm stuck with that." Emily Osment joined in, humorously adding, "Give her to me, though. I'll take her! Auntie Em will take her! All my girlfriends have kids and they call me Auntie Em. It's the best."
