Jury Duty and Below Deck editor Christopher Charkowski was arrested for child endangerment after an alleged incident involving his 6-year-old son.
Charkowski, 39, was taken into custody in L.A. County this month on a felony charge of willfully causing harm to a child that may result in injury or death, as reported by TMZ.
A video, allegedly featuring Charkowski, circulated on social media, showing a man physically harming a child within their home. The disturbing video depicts the individual punching the child and throwing them onto a couch.
Charkowski has been released from custody after being arrested, as reported by Newsweek. If convicted of the felony charge, he could potentially be sentenced to up to six years in prison.
A social media post from someone claiming to be a friend of Charkowski’s wife, Dara Faye Stransky, included supposed documents from his arrest. TMZ reported that home surveillance footage was submitted to authorities for an official investigation. According to court records, the alleged offense occurred in June 2022.

Charkowski was arrested two months after the case was filed in November 2023. Newsweek reported that Stransky, who has four children with Charkowski, filed for divorce in 2018 and that Charkowski was previously sued for child support in 2014. Prior to his legal troubles gaining attention, Charkowski worked as an editor on various TV shows and comedy specials, including projects by Nick Kroll and Chris Redd from Saturday Night Live. He also served as the lead assistant editor on Below Deck Mediterranean from 2019 to 2022.
