Diablo 4 players are expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of diversity in dungeon bosses. Despite the existence of over 120 dungeons in the game, the community has noticed a significant similarity among many of the bosses. While players can engage in various types of dungeons while exploring Sanctuary, some fans remain discontent with the current range of bosses available.
During a discussion on the Diablo 4 subreddit, user JamboreeStevens raised the issue of the game lacking "unique bosses" considering the abundance of dungeons available. They suggested that introducing additional enemy types could help alleviate the repetitiveness of the dungeons, but acknowledged that having different bosses would be more impactful in Diablo 4. Many members of the community expressed agreement with this viewpoint and discussed the most frequently encountered dungeon bosses in the game, namely Tomb Lord, Blood Bishop, and Mahjoob. With over 120 dungeons, it may be challenging for Blizzard to create a distinct boss for each one. Nonetheless, some community members find the lack of variety in bosses frustrating, as it results in the same boss appearing in multiple dungeons, which can become monotonous.
As the first season of Diablo 4 approaches, players can expect a multitude of changes and additions. For example, the developers have confirmed that gems in Diablo 4 will now be categorized as materials, allowing players to have more space in their inventory. Blizzard has also promised to address the issue of limited inventory space in the future, as it is a major complaint among players.
Despite impending significant changes, Blizzard has still not resolved several issues that players have with the game. A notable concern is the problem with itemization in Diablo 4, as the community feels that the loot at higher levels is not satisfying enough. Additionally, players are displeased with the game's gold economy, considering it to be punitive. However, there is hope that these concerns will be addressed following the launch of the Season of the Malignant.
Diablo 4 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
