Dune 2 confirms release date in breathtaking new trailer
A new official trailer for Dune 2 reveals the epic sequel will be released on March 1, 2024.
The latest trailer exceeds all our expectations. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya reprise their beloved roles, continuing the story after the events of the first movie. As Paul embraces the Freeman, he embarks on a quest to unravel the prophecy and bring down the House of Harkonnen.
As the last Duke of Atriedes and gifted individual, Paul has his enemies on edge. Dune 2 will delve deeply into Paul’s use of the spice, his powers, and his connection with Chani, unlike the first movie.
Throughout Dune 2, new adversaries emerge as Paul endeavors to alter a future only he can foresee. Rebecca Ferguson reprises her role as Lady Jessica, Paul’s Bene Gesserit mother, who is also affected by the spice and pregnant. The returning cast also includes Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, and more.
Joining the sequel is Christopher Walken as Shaddam IV, the Padishah Emperor of the Known Universe and head of House Corrino, alongside Florence Pugh as his daughter Princess Irulan. Austin Butler takes on the role of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the youngest nephew of Baron Harkonnen and the planned successor of House Harkonnen.
The release date for Dune 2 is scheduled for 2024, and it is set to be Villeneuve's longest movie at 166 minutes.
